In a move to reduce costs, LinkedIn is cutting 3% of its global workforce. This equates to approximately 900 individuals, with sites in the U.S and India affected the most. LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner said the decision was made in order to advance the company's long-term growth. The cuts cover sales, recruiting, and other areas, with leadership roles being affected as well. LinkedIn will be providing affected employees with financial assistance and outplacement services.
